Upon your arrival, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to the vibrant heart of the city. Settle into your accommodation at The Grey Hotel, located in the lively De Waterkant neighborhood of Cape Town. With some time at your leisure, explore the city’s attractions or simply unwind and soak in the vibrant atmosphere.
In the evening, prepare for a culinary journey like no other as you’re transferred to a welcome dinner at GOLD Restaurant. Day 1 – Table Mountain & Robben Island
On Day 1 of your MTB adventure, get ready to embark on an exciting journey through Table Mountain National Park, where the suburbs meet the trails – traverse the slopes of Table Mountain while you circumvent this New7Wonders of Nature before dropping into the suburbs for some urban single track fun.
After your MTB excursion, you will be transferred to enjoy a 3-course set menu lunch at Tryn, a contemporary restaurant in the Constantia Valley Winelands, where you can indulge in refined dining while surrounded by stunning vineyard scenery.
In the afternoon, embark on a ferry trip to Robben Island for a tour of this historic site. Best known as the site of a maximum security prison where Nelson Mandela and other political prisoners were incarcerated during apartheid, Robben Island offers a glimpse into South Africa’s history. Today, it stands as a symbol of resilience and hope, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 2 – Tokai
On this day of your MTB adventure, get ready to explore the trails of Tokai. Blood, sweat and granny gears are the order of the day as you wind your way up towards the Sentech mast, with a range of trail configurations awaiting you on the way down via working plantations and indigenous forest. You’ll find two green route sections, but otherwise it’s blue and black all the way.
After your exhilarating ride, prepare for a unique culinary experience at Woodstock Brewery, a local brewery near the city. Since 2014, Woodstock Brewery has been dedicated to crafting great beer with the best ingredients. The brewers are always experimenting with new flavours and techniques, creating exciting brews for you to sample.
Indulge in a two-course a la carte lunch paired with four beer tastings, allowing you to enjoy both the food and the brews. After lunch, you’ll be transferred back to your accommodation at The Grey Hotel in the city, where you can unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures.

Day 3 – Bottelary Hills
On Day 3 of your MTB adventure, you’ll be transferred to the picturesque town of Stellenbosch, renowned for its world-class wine estates and stunning scenery. Prepare for a guided MTB excursion in the scenic Bottelary Hills Conservancy, nestled among private working wine farms.
The rolling hillsides feature vineyards, farmland, conservation areas and trails comprised of farm roads, jeep tracks and numerous singletracks. While never too technical, there are challenging climbs and a variety of distances on offer for riders of all fitness levels.
After your MTB adventure, a traditional South African braai (barbecue) and wine tasting awaits at Middelvlei Estate, known for its hospitality and authentic South African cuisine. Indulge in favourite local dishes grilled to perfection amidst the stunning vineyard scenery.
Following your lunch experience, you’ll be transferred to your luxurious accommodation at the 5-star Coopmanhuijs Boutique Hotel & Spa in Stellenbosch. Day 4 – Wellington
On Day 4 of your MTB adventure, get ready for another thrilling day as you’re transferred to Wellington for a guided MTB excursion. Nestled on the slopes of the Groenberg Mountain near Wellington, the trails are mainly on single-track, winding through orchards, vineyards, pristine fynbos, and past stunning waterfalls. The trails will take you up high onto the Groenberg, before descending back down to the Krom River. You’ll have options between challenging and very steep sections, or their (equally) challenging chicken runs.
After your MTB adventure, indulge in a delectable 3-course set menu paired with wine tasting at Diemersfontein. Famous for its coffee Pinotage, Diemersfontein offers a contemporary bistro experience at their Hope Restaurant, where each dish is carefully crafted by their team of chefs.

Day 5 – Stellenbosch – Plaisir

Known for its pristine flow trail, this winelands trail head covers the slopes of the neighbouring mountains and farms. What goes up must come down and it will be fun!

Day 6 – Stellenbosch – Banhoek
On Day 6 of your MTB adventure, gear up for a guided mountain bike experience in Banhoek. Your ride will take you onto the slopes of the imposing Banhoek Mountain, culminating at an impressive 1 492m within the dramatic Hottentots-Holland Nature Reserve. Lower down in the valley, a number of the historic wine farms joined forces to form the Banhoek Conservancy, now bordering onto the reserve.
Following your exhilarating ride, venture to Boschendal, one of the oldest wine estates in the country boasting over 330 years of winemaking tradition. Here, you’ll indulge in a picnic lunch and wine tasting amidst their beautiful gardens, soaking in the serene ambiance of this historic estate.
After lunch, immerse yourself in the cultural richness of Stellenbosch with a cultural walking tour of Ida’s Valley. On the final cycling day of your MTB adventure you’ll be transferred to Oak Valley in Elgin for a guided morning ride. From exposed sand and rock to manicured berms and switchbacks, the Elgin Valley has it all. Shorter climbs give great rewards through the apple orchards and pine trees.
After your MTB adventure, indulge in a leisurely lunch and wine tasting at Oak Valley Estate.
